The TORP TC1000 2.X replaces the stock Light Bee controller with a full FOC unit rated at 700 A battery / 1000 A phase, pre-calibrated for the Light Bee and Segway X260. It talks to the original BMS, keeps the factory display working, and everything for the install is in the box. Read the power table below before you buy — how much of that headroom reaches the ground depends entirely on your motor.

700 A battery and 1000 A phase is the controller ceiling. On the stock battery with the stock motor you get ~7–8.5 kW — because the battery BMS is the limit. The big numbers need a stronger battery and a stronger motor.

What the TC1000 actually delivers on the stock battery — by model year

On a stock pack the limit is the battery BMS, not the controller. That is why the model year decides the result.

Approximate values, manufacturer data from TORP. The 2022 model year with the 38.5 Ah pack pulls the most out of a stock battery. The 2026 Light Bee (10 kW version) is not officially supported yet — TORP is working on it.

Riding something else? TC1000 2.X for Sur-Ron Ultra Bee, TC1000 2.X for Talaria MX3 / MX4, TC1000 2.X for Talaria MX5. The MX5 uses a different wiring harness, so it is a separate kit — ordering the MX3 / MX4 version for an MX5 will not fit.

Questions riders actually ask

Will I really get 50 kW?

Not on a stock setup. On the stock battery with the stock motor it is ~7–8.5 kW depending on model year. 17 kW needs a 72 V battery, 27 kW a 72 V battery plus a TM25, and the full 50 kW an 80 V battery plus a TM40 Pro. The controller is not the limit — the battery and the motor are.

Do I have to program or calibrate anything?

No. The unit ships pre-calibrated for the Light Bee and Segway X260. Fit it, pair the app, ride.

Will my factory display still work?

Yes. The TC1000 communicates with the original BMS and drives the stock Sur-Ron display. If you want live controller data, the TORP display works with the 2.X controllers too.

What breaks first once I add this power?

The drive belt. More torque through a stock belt shortens its life fast — fit a reinforced belt at the same time and you save yourself a trailside repair.
