The TORP TC500 2.X replaces the stock Light Bee controller with a full FOC unit rated at 350 A battery / 500 A phase, pre-calibrated for the Light Bee and Segway X260. It talks to the original BMS, keeps the factory display working, and everything you need for the install is in the box. On the stock motor it delivers 17 kW; with a TORP TM25 motor, 25 kW.
What you get
Pre-configured, no mapping
The map is loaded for the Light Bee / X260. Fit it, pair the app, ride. Fine-tuning is optional.
~7–8.5 kW on the stock battery
Instead of ~4.8 kW as standard — no motor swap, no battery change. How much exactly depends on the model year (table below). With a 72 V battery and a TM25 motor the same controller gives up to 27 kW.

Bluetooth app for iOS and Android: power maps, throttle response, regen braking, ride modes — changed trailside in seconds.
Works with the factory parts

What the TC500 actually delivers on the stock battery — by model year
On a stock pack the limit is the battery BMS, not the controller. That is why the model year decides the result.

Approximate values, manufacturer data from TORP. The 2022 model year with the 38.5 Ah pack pulls the most out of a stock battery. The 2026 Light Bee (10 kW version) is not officially supported yet — TORP is working on it.

Riding something else? TC1000 2.X for Light Bee (more headroom — up to 50 kW with a TM40 Pro), TC1000 2.X for Sur-Ron Ultra Bee, TC1000 2.X for Talaria MX3 / MX4, TC1000 2.X for Talaria MX5. The MX5 uses a different wiring harness, so it is a separate kit — the MX3 / MX4 version will not fit it.
Questions riders actually ask
TC500 or TC1000?
The TC500 is the right unit if you stay on the stock motor or move to a TM25 — 17 kW and 25 kW respectively. The TC1000 only pays off once you fit a TM40-class motor. Important: the TC500 is not compatible with the TM40 Pro or TM50 Pro.
Do I have to program or calibrate anything?
No. It ships pre-calibrated for the Light Bee and Segway X260. Fit it, pair the app, ride.
Which battery does it need?
60 to 80 V nominal (22S, 92.4 V fully charged). The stock Light Bee pack is fine. A 48 V or 52 V pack will not run this controller.
Will my factory display still work?
Yes. The TC500 communicates with the original BMS and drives the stock Sur-Ron display. If you want live controller data, a TORP display works with the 2.X controllers — on some bikes it connects through a separate 5-pin harness.
What breaks first once I add this power?
The drive belt. More torque through a stock belt shortens its life fast — fit a reinforced belt at the same time and you save yourself a trailside repair.
