Regenerative braking works by running the motor as a generator when you slow down, feeding energy back into the battery. Without separate control it is a fixed value set in the app — either too strong around town or too weak on a long descent. This throttle puts a slider under your thumb: you meter the regen while riding, the way you meter the gas.
It works with TORP controllers on the Sur-Ron Light Bee and Ultra Bee. It mounts on the handlebar next to the throttle and plugs into the controller loom.

The difference is biggest on long descents and in technical terrain — where one fixed regen value is always a compromise. On flat city roads the throttle gives you less.

What is not included — the loom
The manufacturer states it plainly: the wiring loom is not supplied with the throttle. Without the right loom you cannot connect it to the controller. Before you order, tell us which controller and which bike you run — we will pick the right loom and confirm whether your current one is enough.

Is the wiring loom included?
No. The manufacturer states this plainly — the box holds the throttle, a hex key and stickers. We match the loom to your controller, so message us before ordering.
Will it work with the stock Sur-Ron controller?
The throttle is intended to work with TORP controllers. The manufacturer does not offer it for the stock controller.
Does it replace the brakes?
No. It controls engine braking — the disc brakes remain your primary braking system.
Why bother, if I set regen in the app?
Because in the app you set one value for the whole ride. The throttle lets you meter it on the move — one way on a descent, another around town.
