main wiring harness for: Sur-Ron Light Bee X. This is the part nobody thinks about while it works. It starts with one chafed wire at the headstock or moisture in a connector after a wash — and suddenly the bike loses its lights, stops responding to the throttle or will not wake up at all. Diagnosis takes half a day and usually ends in replacing the whole thing anyway.
People buy it in two situations: repairing damage, and rebuilding, when the old harness no longer has the connectors needed. In both cases the same rule applies — the harness has to match the specific model and the specific connector generation. The table below says which is which.
Which harness for what
| Harness | For | When you need it |
|---|---|---|
| #219 main harness | Sur-Ron Light Bee X | repairing a damaged factory harness or a full rebuild |
| #137 controller and display harness | TORP TC500 controller and TORP display | adding a TORP display to a setup with fewer connectors, or replacing a damaged one |
What to know before ordering
#137 already comes with the controller
If you buy the TC500 as a kit, the harness is in the box. You buy it separately only as a spare or when adding a display.
Harnesses are not universal
Light Bee X, L1E and Ultra Bee use different connectors. Same trap as with the headlight switches — the neighbouring model's version will not plug in.
Factory connectors, ready-made branches
The harness arrives taped, with covered junctions — you plug into existing sockets rather than soldering from scratch.
This is a several-hour job
Replacing a main harness means stripping the bodywork and rerouting cables along the frame. Plan an evening, not a quarter of an hour.
⚠ Before you buy — check the version, not the name
The model name is not enough. Within the Light Bee family there are X, L1E and LBX versions with different connectors, and on TORP kits the connector count differs between controller generations. Before ordering, photograph the connector at the controller and at the ignition switch and send it to us — we will check within five minutes. One message instead of a return and a week of downtime. The manufacturer does not state harness length, wire gauges or a full connector list — we are not adding those numbers. We publish what we know: model, purpose and the fact that the connectors are factory type.

Three things when replacing
- Photograph everything before you unplug anything. On a main harness that is the one thing that saves hours of guesswork on reassembly.
- Lay the new harness alongside the old one before you remove the old one. The routing then works itself out.
- Apply a thin film of electrical contact grease to the connectors. Moisture in a connector is the most common reason a new harness starts causing trouble after a season.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need harness #137 if I am buying a TC500 controller?
No. The harness comes with the controller kit. You buy it separately as a spare, or when adding a TORP display to a setup with fewer connectors.
Does the Light Bee X harness fit an L1E or an Ultra Bee?
No. The connectors and routing are different. Send us a photo of the connector before ordering and we will check.
How long does replacing a main harness take?
Realistically several hours, including stripping the bodywork. This is not a part you swap in a car park before a ride.
