The stock Ultra Bee front end is a compromise that stops working exactly when you start riding faster: it bottoms on landings, dives under braking and twists in ruts. The Ultra43 solves all three at once – reinforced ∅43 mm tubes, 251 mm of travel and a skeletonised Hollow Triple Clamp machined in one piece from aerospace AL6061-T6.
The DLC coating on the stanchions cuts friction far enough that the fork moves on small bumps instead of passing them to the bars. SKF seals are what keeps it that way beyond one season. The symmetrical Dual Spring layout means the left and right legs work independently and identically – no front-end twist under load.
Which spring for your weight?
| Spring | Rider weight with gear | Note |
|---|---|---|
| 24 lbs | 65–85 kg | To order – write to us first |
| 27 lbs | 75–105 kg | Included – the version on this listing |
| 30 lbs | 95–135 kg | To order – write to us first |
Spring rate matched to your weight is not cosmetic – the wrong rate ruins sag and makes every damping setting useless. If your weight sits near a range boundary, write to us: we will spec it against your riding style, not just the kilograms.

Before you order
- Weigh yourself in full gear and check the spring table – this is the most important decision in this purchase.
- Check your front disc diameter and caliper mount spacing (fork: 240 mm, 78.5 mm).
- Allow time for the first setup session. Out of the box the fork is set to factory, not to you.
- A front-end change is a good moment to look at the rear – the RFLOXA RAF55RV shock is linked below.
Frequently asked
Is it a big difference from the stock fork?
Yes, and you feel it most in two situations: on hard landings (30 clicks of high-speed compression stop the front bottoming out) and braking into a corner (10 clicks of low-speed compression limit the dive).
Do I need a new brake disc?
The fork is built around a ∅240 mm disc and a 78.5 mm caliper spacing. If that matches your setup, no. If not, yes. Write to us and we will check it together.
I weigh 110 kg with gear – what should I take?
The 30 lbs spring (95–135 kg range), not the 27 lbs on this listing. Contact us before ordering and we will prepare the correct variant.
What does the DLC coating do?
It reduces friction between the sliding surfaces. In practice the fork starts responding to small bumps the stock unit simply passes through – and less of that reaches your wrists.
