External reservoir, oil and gas separation, DLC coating. A rear end that does not give up after ten minutes.

The stock Ultra Bee shock has one fundamental problem: it overheats. After a few minutes of hard riding the oil thins, damping fades and the rear starts kicking. The RAF55RV solves that with an external reservoir and oil-gas separation – the oil works under stable conditions and the damping curve does not drift mid-ride.

The DLC coating on the shaft cuts friction and extends service life. The body and load-bearing parts are AL6061-T6 and AL7075-T6 CNC, and the stressed components are 42CRMO and 55CRSI steel. This is not a shock that is "better than stock" – it is a design from an entirely different shelf.

Why an external reservoir?

It increases oil volume and cooling area. In practice that means damping does not fade after a few minutes of hard riding – which is exactly where the stock shock loses.

I weigh 65 kg, is this for me?

Not with this spring. 550 lbs is specified for 75–105 kg. Write to us and we will pick the right rate.

Does fitting require modification?

The shock is designed for the Sur-Ron Ultra Bee. If your rear end is non-standard, send a photo of the mounts and we will confirm before shipping.

Is it worth doing front and rear together?

Yes, if the budget allows. Suspension works as a system – a strong rear on a stock front simply moves the problem to the front of the bike.
