Ultra Bee rear brake — complete assembly, OEM quality

Master cylinder, caliper with pads, line and adapter. Filled and bled at the factory.

A complete rear brake system for the Sur-Ron Ultra Bee in OEM class. This is not a box of parts to assemble — you get a finished unit: components are joined, filled with brake fluid and professionally bled. Take it out, bolt it on, check lever travel and ride.

The same assembly is one of the most frequently bought upgrades for the Sur-Ron Light Bee. The stock Light Bee rear brake runs out of bite under aggressive riding, stunting and after a controller upgrade. The Ultra Bee system uses a larger caliper and handles heat far better. For a Light Bee you need two items though — this one and the conversion kit. The table below says exactly what to order.

The most common ordering mistake: a Light Bee owner buys this assembly on its own and then finds there is no way to mount the disc. A Light Bee X / L1e build needs two items — this one and the conversion kit (linked below).

Before you order

On an Ultra Bee this is a direct fit — you need nothing else.
For a Light Bee X / L1e add the conversion kit, otherwise the disc cannot be mounted.
The brake disc is not part of this set.
Pads sit in the caliper. A spare set is a separate item.

Frequently asked questions

Does it fit the Sur-Ron Light Bee?

Not directly. The adapter here is cut for the Ultra Bee swingarm. For a Light Bee X / L1e you add the conversion kit — CNC 7075 adapter, disc guard and 240 mm disc. Only together do they make a working system.

Do I have to bleed it after fitting?

Normally no. The system arrives filled and bled. After bolting it on you check fluid level and lever travel.

Is the disc included?

No. On an Ultra Bee the factory disc stays. For a Light Bee conversion the 240 mm disc comes with the conversion kit.

Why replace a working stock Light Bee brake?

Because it stops being enough after a controller upgrade, during stunting and on long descents. The larger Ultra Bee caliper brakes harder and heats up more slowly.
