Front sprocket 14T, steel — Sur-Ron Light Bee / Segway X260
- A steel 14T front sprocket for the Sur-Ron Light Bee and Segway X260. Factory size — a service part, not a gearing change. The steel is harder than the original material, so the teeth hold their shape for longer.

A front sprocket wears out faster than the rear because over the same distance it turns more than three times as often. On an electric bike you add torque available from zero — and that is what rounds the teeth. The symptom is unmistakable: the teeth lose their symmetrical shape and lean to one side, like hooks.
A few failures repeat on almost every Sur-Ron: a cracked steerer tube after a season of jumping, a worn front sprocket after a few thousand kilometres, play in the swingarm. These are not random breakdowns — they are the places where the design works hardest. What the parts in this group have in common: they cost tens of euros and close a problem that costs many times that to repair after the fact.

What you get
This item is the front sprocket on its own.
When to do it. Together with the chain and the rear sprocket. A drivetrain wears as a set, and replacing one part against a worn rest is money thrown away.

- Model. Light Bee and Segway X260. 14T is the factory size.
- This is not a gearing change. Sur-Ron fits 14T from the factory. If you are after different acceleration or top speed, you need a different tooth count, not this one.
- Condition of the chain. A new sprocket on a stretched chain will be worn again in a few hundred kilometres. If the chain has had its life, replace both together.
- Fitting. Take off the sprocket cover, undo the retainer, swap it. An hour in the garage with no special tools.
