Sur-Ron vs Talaria vs E-Ride Pro vs 79Bike: 2026 Buyer's Guide

Sur-Ron vs Talaria vs E-Ride Pro vs 79Bike: 2026 Buyer's Guide
The light electric dirt bike market has never been this competitive. In 2026 you can choose between four serious brands – Sur-Ron, Talaria, E-Ride Pro and 79Bike – and each of them does something better than the rest. We ride, service and tune all four every week, so here is the honest comparison we give our own customers.
Sur-Ron Light Bee & Ultra Bee – the benchmark
The Sur-Ron Light Bee X is still the bike everything else is measured against. At around 50 kg it is the lightest full-size machine in this class, the aftermarket is enormous, and resale value stays strong. If you want more power later, the upgrade path is unmatched – controllers, motors, wheels and suspension are all plug-and-play. The Ultra Bee is the step up: roughly 12.5 kW peak, full-size chassis and real off-road capability out of the box.
- Best for: riders who want the biggest tuning potential and easiest parts availability
- Strengths: lowest weight, huge aftermarket, strong resale value
- Watch out for: stock components (swingarm, brakes, suspension) are the first things serious riders upgrade

Talaria Sting & Komodo – refined and quiet
Talaria took the Sur-Ron formula and refined it. The gear-driven transmission means no chain slap and less maintenance, the frame feels stiffer, and fit-and-finish is a clear step up. The Sting MX5 is the direct Light Bee rival, while the new Komodo pushes into real motorcycle territory with up to 32 kW – a genuine Ultra Bee challenger.
- Best for: riders who value refinement, low noise and low maintenance
- Strengths: gear drive, build quality, aggressive pricing
- Watch out for: smaller aftermarket than Sur-Ron, though it grows every season

E-Ride Pro SR – raw power for the money
The E-Ride Pro SR is the power-per-euro king. With a 72V system delivering roughly 12 kW peak in stock form, it out-accelerates a stock Light Bee by a wide margin and takes tuning extremely well. The chassis is aimed at aggressive riders – it is the brand we see most often at stunt and supermoto events.
- Best for: experienced riders who want maximum stock power
- Strengths: 72V performance, strong motor, great value
- Watch out for: heavier than a Light Bee; suspension setup needs attention

79Bike Falcon – the value challenger
79Bike is the newest name here, but the Falcon Pro and Falcon GT have earned their place. You get a modern chassis, solid components and up to 16 kW in the GT for noticeably less money than the established brands. For riders who want maximum hardware per euro and don't need the biggest aftermarket, it is a very rational choice in 2026.
