SUR-RON LIGHT BEE 2 X — 24 kW | The legend, next generation
The Light Bee created the electric dirt bike category. The Light Bee 2 rebuilds it from scratch — again. The same iconic lightness — 65 kg — and everything underneath is new: 24 kW (three times more than its predecessor!), 410 Nm of wheel torque, a breakthrough semi-solid-state battery with real-world range beyond 100 km, and seven ride modes from Crawl to Turbo. Zero belt maintenance. This is not the next Light Bee X. It is a different class of machine.
Why the Light Bee 2 is a breakthrough
- EVO-2 motor + Bee Matrix controller — 24 kW and 410 Nm. A 200% power and 54% torque increase over the Light Bee X. The motor spins to 8,700 rpm (previously 5,200) while being smaller. At 70 km/h the Light Bee 2 has 3.2× the power of the old model — and holds full torque up to 55 km/h.
- The first production semi-solid-state battery in an e-moto (78.54V 45Ah / 3.53 kWh, co-developed with QingTao Energy): 320 Wh/kg cell density, 1,200-cycle life (standard cells: ~500), IP67, only 14.9 kg. Gel instead of liquid electrolyte = cooler operation and radically lower fire risk.
- No power drop as the battery empties. Surron lab tests: acceleration at 30% charge is nearly identical to 100%. No more "power cliff" at the end of a ride.
- 7 ride modes — Eco / Daily / Sport / M Custom / Turbo / Crawl / Reverse. M mode lets you set power, torque, speed limit, throttle curve, regen and protections independently — you build your own bike character.
- SRTC traction control (3 levels) + SWC wheelie control (2 levels, IMU). Level 1 (15–35°) for learning, level 2 (35–60°+) for experts. This machine lifts the front wheel on pure throttle even at 85 km/h.
- Cruise control, RBS, Auto-Hold, 5+5 regen — one-finger combined braking with energy recovery, electronic parking brake on hills, cruise above 10 km/h.
- Race-grade suspension: 38 mm USD fork with Kashima coating (4× service life), 7050/7075 aluminium, SKF seals, 215 mm front travel; at the rear a new, more progressive linkage — 220 mm at the wheel.
- Race-bike brakes: radial, opposed 4-piston calipers, 220/203 mm discs, sintered pads with a 0.55 friction coefficient.
- The belt is gone! Integrated gear reduction + 520 O-ring chain (36 kN). Less maintenance, more riding, 5× higher impact-load capacity.
- Premium equipment: 2.86" TFT display (1,000 nits — readable in full sun), 3,100 lm LED headlight, waterproof 18 W USB-C, forged 6061 hubs with straight-pull spokes (8,100 N each).

What does the semi-solid-state battery give me?

Does power drop when the battery is low?
