The standard Sur-Ron Light Bee / Segway X260 seat is set up for a rider of roughly 175 cm or less. Above that your knees sit too high, your back rounds, and after an hour your lower back hurts. This kit raises the seat by 63 mm and moves it 38 mm rearward — not cosmetics, a change in riding geometry.
The second effect is for standing up: with the seat raised it is easier to grip with your knees, because you meet it with your thigh rather than your calf. Made from 6061-T6 aluminium, mounts on the factory points.
Is this for you
| Height | Effect | Recommendation |
|---|---|---|
| under 175 cm | the seat ends up higher than you need, worse footing at a standstill | skip it — you will make your position worse |
| 175–185 cm | knees drop, back straightens, the ache after an hour disappears | this is the product |
| over 185 cm | the biggest difference; worth pairing with a raised bar clamp | #9 + #30 together |
What it changes
+63 mm up
Knees drop, the hip angle opens. You feel it most after the first hour.
+38 mm back
You sit further from the bars — no more elbows on knees.
Better grip standing
You meet the seat with your thigh, not your calf. Easier to control the bike with your body.
6061-T6 aluminium
Mounts on the factory points, no drilling and no frame modification.
Before you buy — who this is NOT for
If you are under 175 cm this raiser will make your position worse, not better. At a standstill you will reach the ground less easily. This is not a universal upgrade — it is a correction for a specific height. Second point: the seat moves 38 mm rearward, so weight distribution shifts and the front gets slightly lighter under acceleration. Off-road that is an advantage; hard acceleration on tarmac takes some getting used to.

Three things at fitting
- Once the seat is up, check the slack in the cables and loom underneath — 63 mm is a lot and something may end up tight.
- Do your first ride on a road you know. The position changes enough that the bike feels different for the first few minutes.
- If you are also planning lowered pegs, do both mods at once — together they give a full 88 mm of leg room; separately each feels like half a job.
Frequently asked questions
I am 172 cm — is it worth it?
No. Below 175 cm this raiser takes away more than it gives. Put the money into lowered pegs (#43) instead — you gain leg room without raising the centre of gravity.
Does it work with your replacement seats?
The kit sits between the frame and the seat. If you are changing the seat at the same time, message us before ordering and we will confirm the combination on a unit from our warehouse.
Do I have to drill the frame?
No. It mounts on the factory seat mounting points.
