RFLOXA · HAWK31 PRO
Inverted 37 mm fork with high- and low-speed compression, rebound and preload
203 mm travel · 60 lbs spring · Sur-Ron LBX/L1E · Talaria MX3/MX4 · E-Ride Pro · 79Bike Falcon
Four-way adjustable inverted fork for heavy electric dirt bikes. The upgrade over a stock DNM or KKE is the separate high-speed and low-speed compression circuit — you can soften the fork for square edges without making it dive under braking. A single-circuit fork cannot do that.
It is not a lighter fork, and it is not fully plug-and-play on every bike. Fitting notes are below — read them before you order.
PRO or MAX?
The damper is identical on both. Same tubes, same valving, same adjusters, same springs, same seals. The MAX has a wider triple clamp (162 mm vs 146 mm), a 17 mm drop crown and a widened front axle — geometry and tyre clearance, not damping.
| Hawk31 PRO (this one) | Hawk31 MAX | |
|---|---|---|
| Damper, valving, adjusters | HSC · LSC · rebound · preload | Identical — no stated difference |
| Travel | 203 mm | 203 mm — same |
| Triple clamp width | 146 mm clamp centres (stock) | 162 mm — 16 mm wider |
| Crown | Flat | 17 mm drop crown |
| Front tyre width (17" supermoto) | Stock-width rubber only | 90-wide, in most cases 100 |
| 21" off-road front | No | Yes |
Take the PRO if your front end stays stock height on a stock wheel. That is most riders.
Take the MAX if you want a wide supermoto front (90 or 100 on 17" wheels), a 21" off-road front, or the front end raised. A stock-width clamp is what runs out of room first on those builds.
Changed your mind later? The MAX clamp is sold separately and bolts onto this fork.

Not included: headset bearings. RFLOXA states plainly „not include bottom bearing”, and the upper one is not supplied either. Reuse yours with a bearing puller, or order a bearing kit with the fork. Talaria also needs a spacer under the lower bearing — Sur-Ron and E-Ride spacing works as-is.

Asymmetrical legs — damper in one, coil spring in the other.

CNC triple clamps at stock 146 mm centres.

Which spring?
RFLOXA’s own page contradicts itself on rider weights, so here is one table we stand behind.
| Spring | Trail / enduro | Jumps / MX |
|---|---|---|
| 45 lbs | up to ~100 kg | up to ~85 kg |
| 45–60 lbs progressive | ~80–115 kg | ~80–110 kg |

Before you order:
• Talaria — spacer needed under the lower bearing.
• Talaria Sting R (MX4) — some frames need minor grinding on the outer tubes. Dry-fit and check clearance at full lock.
• E-Ride Pro SS 3.0 / SR — the larger caliper on these is not currently plug-and-play and the adapter is not released. Message us first.
• Rotor over 203 mm — needs an offset adapter, not supplied with the PRO.

Setting it up — the short version
1. Get the spring rate right first. Preload changes ride height, not stiffness — you cannot preload your way out of a wrong spring.
2. Target rider sag of 25–30% of travel — on this fork that is roughly 51–61 mm with you on the bike in full gear.
3. Clickers are counted out from fully closed; in = firmer, out = softer. RFLOXA publishes no factory baseline, so write down the as-delivered click counts before you touch anything.
4. Change one adjuster at a time, two clicks at a time, on the same piece of trail.

FAQ
Is the MAX worth the extra money?
Only for a supermoto build, a wide front tyre, a 21" wheel or a raised front end. The damper is the same — if you want the fork to work better, spend the difference on the right spring.

Do I get the headset bearings?
No. Neither the lower nor the upper. Budget for a bearing kit or a puller to save your originals.

Will it fit my E-Ride Pro SS 3.0 or SR?
The fork mounts, but the larger caliper is not currently plug-and-play. Contact us before ordering — we would rather lose the sale than send you a fork you cannot brake with.

How much does it weigh?
RFLOXA does not publish a weight and we will not guess. The 5 kg figure circulating online is a shipping-carton weight.
