The hub is the one part of a wheel you cannot upgrade later. You can replace the rim, retension the spokes, change the tyre – the hub stays for the life of the wheel and it decides whether the wheel still holds true after a season in the rough. These are machined on a 4-axis CNC from a solid block of aerospace 7075: high mechanical strength and, more importantly for landings, high fatigue strength.
The practical side: 36 holes for thick 9g (3.4 mm) spokes, bearings and O-rings included, and compatibility with the Talaria MX5 factory spacers. Nothing to fabricate and nothing missing – take the hubs, take rims, and go straight to lacing.
