96 Power Parts hubs drop straight into the stock location on the Talaria MX5, but they are stronger and lighter than the originals. Sur-Ron stock hubs are cast — ours are CNC-machined from solid aerospace 7075, an alloy with far higher mechanical and fatigue strength. The disc mount stays standard, so OEM discs bolt on without tricks.
The part you cannot see in the photo: a built-in 4 mm offset. It lets you build a wheel for a wider tyre without using two different spoke lengths — which means even tension on both sides and a wheel that stays true past the first season.

Frequently asked questions
How is this better than the stock hub?
The stock Sur-Ron hub is cast. Ours is machined from solid 7075 — an alloy with much higher mechanical and fatigue strength. It is also lighter, and it has a 4 mm offset the OEM part does not.
What is the 4 mm offset for?
It lets you build a wheel for a wider tyre without using two different spoke lengths. Tension stays even on both sides and the wheel holds its geometry longer.
Does the OEM disc fit?
Yes. The disc mount is standard, to Sur-Ron OEM spacing. The disc itself is not included.
Are spokes or a rim included?
No. This is the hub only. We stock 36H rims and a spoke wrench separately — linked below.
I have a 32H rim, will it work?
This version is 36H. Message us before ordering and we will check availability of the 32-hole version.
