Most stems survive a few jumps. This one was designed from scratch for heavy e-bikes — Sur-Ron, Talaria, E-Ride Pro — so that on landing you think about the next jump, not your handlebar.

Why direct mount instead of a regular stem?

A classic stem is an extra part between the triple clamp and the bar — extra play, extra fatigue points. A direct mount bolts straight onto the upper triple clamp, which gives you:

Stiffer front end — precise steering in ruts, under braking and on big landings.

Taller riding position — 55 mm of rise straightens you up when standing. No more hunching over the stock bar.

Full control — 40 mm of reach puts the bar exactly where it belongs for aggressive enduro and track riding.

⚠ Important before you buy: the stem requires a handlebar with a min. 90 mm straight centre section of constant diameter. The stock Sur-Ron / Talaria bar does not meet this. All Sur-Ron Ultra Bee handlebars fit — see them in our shop.

Raises the bar by an extra 25 mm of rise (80 mm total) and solves the headlight problem after raising — the light mount is built in, no zip-tie hacks.

A threaded rod running the entire length of the steerer tube, clamping the lower triple clamp to the upper one. The result: constant preload on the headset bearings — they stay tight even through hard landings. No more knocking front end or periodic re-tightening.

FAQ

Does the stem fit the stock Sur-Ron / Talaria handlebar?

No — the stem fits 28.6 mm and 31.8 mm bars, but requires a min. 90 mm straight centre section of constant diameter. The stock bar does not meet this — however, all Sur-Ron Ultra Bee handlebars fit and are available in our shop.

Will the stock headlight still fit after installation?

With the stem alone, usually yes. If you add the 25 mm riser, it has an integrated headlight mount — the light returns to its ideal position.

Is installation difficult?

I had a regular stem clamped on the steerer tube — what do I need to do?

After removing a classic stem, free space remains on the steerer tube. You have two options: buy spacers to fill the gap, or cut the steerer tube down. We also recommend the Stem Lock — it keeps the headset bearings preloaded during aggressive riding.

Will it survive jumps and aggressive riding?

That's exactly what it was designed for. The direct mount construction, CNC machined from 7000 series aluminium, was built for heavy e-bikes and enduro/FMX riding — where standard stems give up.
