The Komodo leaves the factory set up for seated riding. The moment you stand on the pegs — off-road, on descents, in ruts — your back rolls forward and your wrists load at a bad angle. This riser lifts the bar by one inch and straightens you out.
It is not a performance part. It changes neither frame geometry, nor head angle, nor reach — it only moves the clamps upward. You feel the difference in your back and shoulders after a long ride, not on a stopwatch.
When this riser makes sense
| Situation | Good choice | Why |
|---|---|---|
| You ride standing a lot, off-road | Yes | An inch of height straightens your back in the standing position — the most common reason people fit one. |
| You are 185 cm+ and hunch over the bar | Yes | Factory height is set for average build; higher means less load on wrists and lower back. |
| Your back aches after an hour of riding | Yes | Raising the grips changes torso angle and unloads the lumbar spine. |
| You want the bar closer to you | No | This adapter raises, it does not change reach. For that you need a different stem. |
| You have a Talaria Sting, MX3, MX4 or a Sur-Ron | No | The part is designed strictly around the Talaria Komodo mount. |
| You want a radical riding-position change | No | 1″ is a correction, not a cockpit rebuild. If you want much higher, look at 1.5–2″ versions. |
Rule of thumb: 1″ is the safe first step — in most cases the factory brake lines and cables have enough slack. With taller risers you normally have to plan on extending them.
What you get
Riser adapter
CNC machined from a 6061-T6 aluminium billet, 1″ (approx. 25 mm) of lift.
Full bolt kit
4-bolt mounting, into the factory triple-clamp points.
Anodised finish
Resistant to corrosion, road salt and pressure washing.
No modification needed
No drilling, no welding, no frame work — unbolt, fit, torque down.
What is not included
No handlebar, no extended brake lines or cables, no Allen keys and no assembly grease. This is the adapter and its bolts — you refit your own bar.

Before you order
- Confirm you have a Komodo, not a Sting / MX3 / MX4 — the triple clamp is different and the adapter will not fit.
- Once raised, before final torque, turn the bar to full lock both ways and check slack in brake lines and cables.
- Do not stack two risers on top of each other — that multiplies leverage on the clamp mount.
- Tighten crosswise and evenly. Over-torquing one bolt can distort the bar clamp.
Frequently asked questions
Do the brake lines need extending?
With 1″ of lift, usually not. Before final torque, turn the bar to full lock both ways and check the lines are not under tension.
Does it fit a Talaria Sting or MX3 / MX4?
No. This is a Talaria Komodo part only — the other models use a different triple clamp.
Does it change how the bike handles?
It lifts your hands and shifts weight slightly rearward, which makes standing more comfortable. Frame geometry and head angle are untouched.
Can I fit it myself?
Yes. You need a set of Allen keys and a torque wrench. Realistically 10–15 minutes.
Is 1″ a lot?
It is a clearly noticeable but safe correction. If you want to rebuild your riding position more aggressively, look at 1.5–2″ risers and budget for extended lines.
