Supermoto vs Enduro Wheels for Sur-Ron & Talaria: Which Setup Fits Your Riding?

Supermoto vs Enduro Wheels for Sur-Ron & Talaria: Which Setup Fits Your Riding?

Custom SUPERMOTO 17-inch wheel set for Sur-Ron, Talaria, 79Bike and E-Ride Pro

Wheels are the single biggest personality change you can make to a Sur-Ron Light Bee or Talaria Sting. The same bike with 17" supermoto wheels carves corners like a street weapon; with an 18/21" enduro setup it rolls over roots and rocks that would swallow the stock 19" wheels. Here is how to pick the right setup for the way you actually ride.

What's the real difference?

It comes down to three things: wheel diameter, tyre profile and rotating mass. Supermoto setups use smaller wheels (12", 16" or 17") with sticky street tyres. Enduro setups go bigger — 16"/19", or a full-size 18" rear with a 21" front — wrapped in knobby MX rubber. Smaller wheels lower the centre of gravity and reduce gyroscopic effect; bigger wheels improve roll-over ability and high-speed stability off-road.

Supermoto wheels: agility and asphalt grip

Our Custom SUPERMOTO 17" wheel set fits Sur-Ron LBX/L1E, Talaria Sting MX3/MX4, 79Bike Falcon PRO and E-Ride Pro SS 2.0. What you gain:

  • Much less gyro effect — the bike flicks from corner to corner noticeably faster than on stock wheels.
  • Lower centre of gravity — more confidence at lean, easier to control slides.
  • Street tyre grip — braking and cornering on asphalt in a completely different league than knobbies.
  • Better range — lower rolling resistance on tarmac means more kilometres per charge.

Riding mostly urban, pump tracks or kart tracks? Supermoto is the answer. We also build 12" and 16" supermoto sets for riders who want maximum flickability.

Enduro wheels: roll-over ability and off-road stability

The OFF-ROAD Custom 18"/21" wheelset turns your e-moto into a proper trail bike:

  • 21" front — rolls over rocks, roots and ruts instead of getting stopped by them.
  • Wide choice of MX tyres — real knobs, real traction in mud and sand.
  • High-speed stability — the larger diameter calms the bike down on fast, rough sections.
  • Taller stance — more ground clearance for logs and deep ruts.

The trade-off: more rotational mass, so acceleration feels slightly softer. If you want a middle ground, a 16"/19" set keeps the bike closer to stock geometry while still upgrading grip and strength.

Quick decision guide

  • 90% street, city, kart track → SUPERMOTO 17"
  • Mixed riding, tight woods → OFF-ROAD 16"/19" or a reinforced 16" rear
  • Serious enduro, dunes, mountain trails → OFF-ROAD 18"/21"
