220 mm front brake disc, a genuine E-Ride Pro OEM part, made for: E-Ride Pro SS 3.0, SS 4.0 and E-Ride Pro SR. The front brake does most of the work when you stop and takes most of the heat. A worn or warped disc means weaker braking, pulsing at the lever and pads that wear out faster.
Before you order, check the table below. The E-Ride Pro SS 2.0 and SS 3.0 / 4.0 / SR use different front discs — picking the wrong version is the most common reason for a return, so we put it right at the top, not in the small print.
Which disc for what
| Disc | Fits | What it gives | Adapter |
|---|---|---|---|
| #427 220 mm front, genuine OEM, 3.0 mm | E-Ride Pro SS 3.0, E-Ride Pro SS 4.0, E-Ride Pro SR | factory fit and predictable braking power | no |
| #286 220 mm front, 25% thicker than OEM | Sur-Ron Light Bee, Talaria Sting MX3 / MX4, E-Ride Pro SS 2.0 | thicker disc — stiffer and longer-lasting | Light Bee: yes — #229 |
What to look at when choosing
Diameter
A bigger disc means a longer lever arm and more force at the same lever pressure. But changing diameter almost always needs a caliper adapter.
Thickness
The SS 3.0, SS 4.0 and SR use a 3.0 mm disc, the SS 2.0 a 2.75 mm one. Same diameter, so they are easy to mix up. Check your model before you buy.
Bolts included
The disc comes with a full set of mounting bolts. No hunting for them separately and no reusing old, stretched bolts.
OEM versus upgrade
An OEM disc gives fit and predictability, not more power. If you want more force, look at the aftermarket discs in this table.
⚠ Before you buy — check your bike version
This disc fits the E-Ride Pro SS 3.0, SS 4.0 and SR only. It does not fit the SS 2.0 — that model uses a 220 × 2.75 mm disc. Riding an SS 2.5 or not sure which version you have? Message us before ordering. Second thing: the disc is half of the system. A new disc with worn, glazed pads will not stop any better — replace them as a pair.

Three things when fitting
- Bed the new disc in: the first 50–100 km without hard, sustained braking. The pad material has to transfer evenly onto the disc.
- Degrease the new disc before fitting. Factory preservative on the friction surface guarantees squeal and weak braking at first.
- Check lateral runout after torquing. One over-tightened bolt can turn a good disc into a pulsing brake.
Frequently asked questions
Does it fit the E-Ride Pro SS 2.0?
No. The SS 2.0 uses a different disc (220 × 2.75 mm). This 3.0 mm disc is made for the SS 3.0, SS 4.0 and SR.
Do I have to change pads with the disc?
If the pads have a season behind them or are glazed — yes. Old pads carry the wear profile of the old disc; on a new one they brake worse and mark it.
Is a bigger disc always better?
Not always. A larger diameter gives more force but also more unsprung mass and a sharper initial bite. For technical off-road riding, some people prefer the factory diameter and better pads.
