Big front brake disc 220mm 96 Power Parts .Surron Light Bee/Talaria Sting/Segway X260

220 mm floating, two-piece · Sur-Ron Light Bee, Talaria Sting, Segway X260

Brake disc 220 mm floating, two-piece, matched to: Sur-Ron Light Bee, Talaria Sting, Segway X260. Brakes on a light electric bike work harder than they look — the mass is small, but the torque arrives instantly and you brake more often than on a petrol enduro of similar weight. The disc is the part that takes that heat.

Before you choose, look at the table below. The four discs we stock do four different jobs and only one of them needs an extra adapter. Picking the wrong version is the single most common reason a parcel comes back — which is why we put it up front rather than in the small print.

Which disc for what

What to look at when choosing

Diameter
A bigger disc means a longer lever arm and more force at the same lever pressure. But changing diameter almost always needs a caliper adapter.
Thickness
A thicker disc carries heat away for longer and warps later. 2.3 mm against the 1.9 mm OEM is not cosmetics.
Construction
A two-piece (floating) disc passes less heat into the hub and the rest of the system.
OEM versus upgrade
An OEM disc gives fit and predictability, not more power. If you want more force, look at the aftermarket discs in this table.
⚠ Before you buy — two things that cost a return
The 220 mm floating disc (#221) will not mount without a caliper adapter. The adapter is #229 — it repositions the factory caliper for the larger diameter, bolt-on. Without it you are holding a disc you cannot fit. The other discs in the table go into the factory location. Second: the disc is half the system. A new disc against worn, glazed pads will not brake better, and it will ruin the surface of the new disc within a few hundred kilometres. Replace them in pairs. The manufacturer does not state the disc material or weight — it states dimensions, construction and fitment.

Three things when fitting
  • Bed the new disc in: the first 50–100 km without hard, sustained braking. The pad material has to transfer evenly onto the disc.
  • Degrease the new disc before fitting. Factory preservative on the friction surface guarantees squeal and weak braking at first.
  • Check lateral runout after torquing. One over-tightened bolt can turn a good disc into a pulsing brake.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need an adapter?
Only with disc #221 (220 mm floating). The adapter is #229. With #149, #269 and #362 you fit into the factory location.
Do I have to change pads with the disc?
If the pads have a season behind them or are glazed — yes. Old pads carry the wear profile of the old disc; on a new one they brake worse and mark it.
Is a bigger disc always better?
Not always. A larger diameter gives more force but also more unsprung mass and a sharper initial bite. For technical off-road riding, some people prefer the factory diameter and better pads.
