The RAB53RV replaces the stock rear shock on Sur-Ron and Talaria platforms. It is a real damper rather than a spring with oil in it — which is what makes the difference on square-edge hits and on landings.
What it is not: one-size-fits-all. This shock exists in several eye-to-eye lengths and the wrong one either will not mount or will wreck your geometry. The section below is the part most shops leave out.
Which length do you need?
This is where most orders go wrong. Manufacturer data, not dealer guesswork.
| Sur-Ron Light Bee (LBS, original) | 240 mm |
| Sur-Ron LBX and L1E | 265 mm |
| Talaria XXX PRO | Not compatible — RFLOXA states it does not fit |
| Sur-Ron Ultra Bee | Not this shock — Ultra Bee needs 320 mm (RAF55RV) |
| Segway X160 / X260 | Dealer claim only — RFLOXA does not list it |

What the manufacturer does not publish: nitrogen pressure, damping click counts, oil type and service interval, weight, and exact eye/bushing dimensions. We have a query open with RFLOXA — when we get answers, they go here. Nowhere else in Europe will you find this list; everyone else simply invents it.
Fitment
- Measure your old shock eye-to-eye. 240 and 265 mm look similar in photos and are not interchangeable.
- Ultra Bee owner? This is not your shock. You need the 320 mm RAF55RV — ask us about availability.
- Talaria XXX PRO? RFLOXA lists it as not fitting. We will not sell you one anyway.
- Upgrading the front at the same time is the sensible order — a fast rear and a soft front is worse than stock.
